The 18-year-old defender signs his first pro deal following a successful September, which saw him score on his first start against Cliftonville.
A centre-half who can play at right-back, Hawthorne becomes the latest Academy graduate having joined CRFC Academy in 2022, aged 15.
Commenting on the deal, Stephen Baxter said:
“We are all delighted to announce the signing of Caleb Hawthorne on his first professional contract at Carrick Rangers.
Caleb has impressed everyone with his development in the last 12 months and has coped really well with the step up in levels from 20s football to senior football.
Having already made his senior debut against Cliftonville recently we are all looking forward to seeing Caleb’s progression going forward.
It is great to see a home grown teenager coming through the pack and I know Caleb has the attitude and talent to make the most of this opportunity.”
Congratulations, Caleb.
